You are standing next to a well, and you have two jugs. One jug has a content of 3 liters and the other one has a content of 5 liters. How can you get just 4 liters of water using both the jugs?

There are two answers:
1. Fill the 3 liter, and pour into the 5.  Fill the 3 liter again, and pour into the 5 liter till it is full, this will give you 1 left in the 3 liter.  Pour out the 5 liter, and pour the remainder from the 3 liter into the 5 liter.  Fill the 3 liter, and pour into the 5 liter, which will give you 1+3 liters (4). 

2. Fill the 5 liter, and pour into the 3 liter till it is full.  Empty the 3 liter.  Take the 2 remaining liters in the 5 liter, and pour into the 3 liter.  Fill the 5 liter again, and pour into the 3 liter till it is full (1 liter), the remainder of the 5 liter will be 4 liters.
