vmstat will tell about the status of the virtual memory like the memory swapped in, memory swapped out, memory used by cpu etc.
netstat will give about the statistics of the network connections which is connected to the host.
iostat - Report Central Processing Unit (CPU) statistics and input/out-put statistics for devices and partitions.
