Differentiate differential and incremental backup

Answer Title
Answer
A differential backup occurs for all files that have changed since the last full backup, regardless of whether they changed since the last differential backup. The archive bit is set to 1 when the file is modified and not reset after the backup. Incremental backup occurs only on files that have changed since the last backup. A change to a file will set the archive bit to one, thus flagging it for the backup.

Copies of the system backup should be stored in a convenient, but secure place. In the case of secure system backups, such as client/server networks, the back-up copies should be stored where the network administrators can have access to them, but not the general public (that is, a locked file cabinet). Left unsecured, these copies could be used by someone without authority to gain access to the system or to its data. Many companies maintain a copy of their backup away from the main site. This is done for protection in case of disasters such as fire.

It is a possibility that your mouse may not have the mouse driver properly configured in your system.ini. EDIT your system.ini and ensure that under the [boot] section you have mouse.drv=mouse.drv. Another recommendation you may want to attempt if this does not resolve your issue is rename the system.ini to a temporary file such as system.ch and then rename the system.--- or another backup of the system.ini to system.ini.
