It was a time I was assigned to handle a class with 40 students. It was a tough one for a beginner for me, but I eventually realized it wasn't that hard at all once you get to know each of them better.

I do that by motivating them, using creative learning strategies, including activities that is fun and entertaining, rather than lecture type.
