(Again, choose your words carefully. Don't be negative. Say that no company is perfect, it had both strengths and weaknesses.)

It is the working together of two or more things to produce an effect greater than the sum of their individual effects. For example, in the context of mergers, cost synergy is the savings in operating costs expected after two companies, who compliment each other's strengths, join.

(This is a variation on a very strong question that links the position and the company's hot buttons in a way that lets you speak to your strengths.)

(This question shows that you have done your research and that you are rightfully aware that success means outperforming the competition.)

(It's the interviewer's opinion that is at the heart of the question.)

(The question flatters the interviewer and creates a personal connection. If you create a bond with the interviewer, you're going to get better, more authentic information on which to base a decision.)

I don't know the other applicants, but generally I excel at . . . (pick your strengths that most fit with what they're seeking). Introduce some behavioural and style strengths as well as skills, and show you know the difference between them.
