connected via a network. Typical distributed applications are two-tier (client-server), three-tier

(client-middleware-server), and multitier (client-multiple middleware-multiple servers).

An optional package is a set of J2ME APIs providing services in a specific area, such as database access or multimedia. Unlike a profile, it does not define a complete application environment, but rather is used in conjunction with a configuration or a profile. It extends the runtime environment to support device capabilities that are not universal enough to be defined as part of a profile or that need to be shared by different profiles. J2ME RMI and the Mobile Media RMI are examples of optional packages.

In J2ME, a configuration defines the minimum Java runtime environment for a family of devices: the combination of a Java virtual machine (either the standard J2SE virtual machine or a much more limited version called the CLDC VM) and a core set of APIs. Here are three basic types of runtime errors in PHP:
1. Notices: These are trivial, non-critical errors that PHP encounters while executing a script - for example, accessing a variable that has not yet been defined. By default, such errors are not displayed to the user at all - although you can change this default behavior.
2. Warnings: These are more serious errors - for example, attempting to include() a file which does not exist. By default, these errors are displayed to the user, but they do not result in script termination.
3. Fatal errors: These are critical errors - for example, instantiating an object of a non-existent class, or calling a non-existent function. These errors cause the immediate termination of the script, and PHP's default behavior is to display them to the user when they take place.

The metadata of any .net assembly can be inspected at runtime for its type, method, properties, and events and so on. The mechanism to do this is termed as reflection and there are classes in .net which enable you to do so.  One can determine all classes that an assembly contains, members exposed by these classes, parameters the members expect, etc. The classes that enable you to do so reside in the System.Reflection namespace. An object's metadata is accessed through its Type class which is retrieved using the GetType() method.  Type T = MyClass.GetType (); One you have the type you can access it to get all other information of the class.
