You need to be a 'people person', as a warm and friendly attitude is expected at all times. Good communication skills are essential as our passengers range from corporate businessmen to housewives going on holiday, and each one has different needs and priorities. You also need to be security-conscious and assertive at all times. You need to be aware of everything that goes on in the plane. If there is a problem there will be no way to get support from the ground so the passengers' safety lies with you. When things go wrong you are expected to remain calm and come up with a solution.
