A printer is an output device that produces text and graphics on physical medium, such as paper or transparency film. An impact printer forms characters and graphics on a piece of paper by striking a mechanism against an inked ribbon that phisically contacts the paper. Commonly used nonimpact printers are ink-jet printers, photo printers, laser printers, thermal printers, portable printers, label and postage printers, plotters and large format printers.

Toy camera are simple, inexpensive film box cameras made almost entirely out of plastic, often including the lens. The term is misleading, since they are not 'toys' in the sense that these cameras are actually capable of taking photographs. Many were made to be given away as novelties or prizes
